Adjunct Professor of Cybersecurity

Malik Dulaney is an IT professional with over twenty years of experience leading and supporting IT operations for higher education organizations. He currently works at the University of Dallas where he provides strategic planning, technical leadership and hands-on involvement for cybersecurity, IT infrastructure and network/system administration initiatives. Additionally, Dr. Dulaney develops the University’s strategies for cloud security, disaster recovery, incident response, virtualization and datacenter management. At previous institutions, he has provided institution-wide IT strategy and leadership in the areas of IT governance, IT policy, process improvement, as well as implementation and management of higher education enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems.

 Dr. Dulaney received a Ph.D. in Public Affairs from The University of Texas at Dallas and his doctoral research was done on the implications of cloud technologies on higher education governance and decision making. He is currently pursuing public sector research interests in cybersecurity for public and nonprofit organizations, cyber warfare and information technology policy. He has a Masters of Education in Education Administration from Prairie View A&M University and a Bachelors of Science in Computer Science from Southern University and A&M College. Dr. Dulaney also holds a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) certification.
